Leprechaun Alarm by WireMySoul Leprechaun Alarm by WireMySoul
Based on my friend *Rebelshade's comment here. She suggested stringing my One Piece Crochet Shamrocks together in a garland, and it occurred to me that one could just make the whole garland in one piece.

How?

Make the first shamrock (my pattern is available free here).

Instead of chaining and slip stitching a stem, just make several chain stitches (I used 15 in this project, but you can make the distance as long as you wish).

Make a slip stitch in the 4th ch from your hook, making a circle.

Begin your next shamrock by making 6 sc in this newly made circle, then continue with the rest of the shamrock, repeating the process until the garland is as long as you wish.

I didn't want to make a huge garland, but my son's kindergarten class have been working on Leprechaun traps this week, in anticipation of St. Patrick's Day. I made this short garland and attached a couple of bells to the chain with jump rings. Now he can bring his "Leprechaun Alarm" to school to share with his class.

100% acrylic yarn: Red Heart Comfort Sport and a 3.75mm crochet hook.

Not for sale.

My son's currently wearing this in his belt loop around the house. The cats are following him around too, it's pretty cute.
